Discover Snorkelling

Venture into New Zealand's first marine reserve where the marine life has been protected for over 30 years. Snorkel with large snapper, schools of blue maomao, silver drummer, trevally and kahawai. Watch large red moki feeding or dive down to see big rock lobster (crayfish) that live in the spaces under the rocks. There's nowhere else on the coast where you can encounter this much marine life close to the beach. For more on the marine reserve's history, click here.
- Tony and Jenny Enderby are the most experienced snorkel instructors at Goat Island and are experts in the marine life both in the water and on the rocky shore. (see more on Instructors page)
